We love good
food and it’s very satisfying
to get out to do a bit of digging on our allotment. Watching the
faces of our junior students as some of them find out for the first
time where a potato actually comes from or that a pretty little
flower will produce a Runner Bean is brilliant. And if we want to
know more, our mentor Fred is on hand to tell us. Remember Turkey
Twizzlers and Chicken Nuggets? We don’t.
In the
kitchens we all enthusiastically get
stuck-in to our hand made biscuit mixes, especially the
‘Pudsey’ ones we bake to raise money for Children In
Need, and chopping loads of fresh ingredients, trying new foods and
discovering new flavours is good healthy fun.
We know about
balanced nutrition, healthy eating and
because all the ‘strategies’ have been tried out on us,
we think we know pretty well what makes a good meal. Whole food not
processed food is the way to a thinner future and a healthier
life.
The best part
though, is when we get to put on our
crisp smart Michaelston Hospitality uniforms and we can proudly
show you just how good we are.
How could we
possibly get better experience,
ready for the big outside world?
